
Larazotide acetate may help prevent gluten exposure related diarrhea.
Larazotide acetate is the only therapy for celiac disease currently in Phase 3 trials. A meta-analysis of four randomly controlled studies including over 600 patients was reviewed. The scientists concluded that Larazotide acetate reduced the incidence of diarrhea after gluten challenge. Larazotide acetate is a zonulin regulator and helps maintain the intestinal barrier.
