I provide information about celiac disease. You read the information, evaluate it, and decide if it is something you want to add to your life or not.
My posts are designed to provide you information about celiac disease, especially when posting about studies or research being done.
Sometimes the information confirms things we already knew. I call these “Duh” studies. Studies that prove things that any celiac patient would have given a researcher. Research topics that confirm what we already knew. For example, the DOGGIE bag study that said more than 30% of restaurant meals are contaminated with enough gluten meals to make someone sick. Here is a link to DOGGIE bag study – https://loom.ly/aXWSBgs
Sometimes I am not really sure what to think of the information because it flies in the face of what we already knew. I’m not sure you should change your protocols or ways you engage with the world. But maybe just add the information to your knowledge base of celiac disease. Choosing to change how you handle your disease is your choice. For example , cross contamination with toasters is minimal. https://loom.ly/IyX4ykU
Yesterday, I posted about skincare. I posted a variety of sources that say celiac patients are not required to have gluten free skincare products because gluten cannot be absorbed by the skin. A couple of people said they feel more comfortable using gluten free skincare products. A couple of people may feel more comfortable with their choice of not using gluten free skincare products.
Either way – each is good. That’s where celiac lives. A gluten free life is different for each person. Everyone has to get to a place where they can live while being as gluten free as they need to be in order to be healthy.
