This was not my best year healthwise. Let’s see….
I participated in a clinical trial that epically failed. I found out about a delayed allergic reaction to penicillin type drugs. I had a kidney stone. I had impetigo and the antibiotics I took for it actually cured something else. But I haven’t had a cold or the flu this year. My constant diarrhea cleared up. I have started treating my significant B12 deficiency and much of the swelling resulting from the B12 deficiency has started to recede.
My family is happy and healthy with a few tween angsty bumps in the road.
On the whole, it hasn’t been terrible. But I’m ready for 2020.
In 2020 I’m hoping that the Gluten in Medication act gets passed through Congress and signed into law. I hope that progress is made in understanding celiac disease roots and what causes celiac in genetically susceptible people. I’m hoping there is a breakthrough in testing for the disease for those on a gluten free diet. I hope that the Phase 3 trial is successful and by 2022 the drug – even though it may not be a cure – is on the market.
More personally, I hope that everyone has a safe and happy new year. I hope that you enjoy a great gluten free meal for dinner tonight to line your stomach for however you celebrate the new year! I further hope that tomorrow your gluten free pork, collards, and black eyed peas bring you coins, cash, and good health for the year.
Enjoy and I will be back on January 2nd to start the New Year!!!
How did you get rid of your chronic diarrhea
I took an antibiotic to get rid of the impetigo and it went away!
