How do you use AI in your celiac journey?
I get a lot of pitches about new AI tools that will write and automatically publish social media posts in my voice and style.
They’re like drug dealers—they’ll give you a sample for free.
Every time I try one, it just rehashes ideas I’ve already published. No new insights. No new angles. Nothing clever.
Don’t get me wrong—I do recycle certain themes in my posts.
I believe in eating as many naturally gluten-free foods as possible.
I believe in follow-up visits with your doctor so that if something changes, it can be caught early.
I believe living with celiac disease requires constant risk assessment and management.
And I believe celiac disease shouldn’t limit your life more than it has to.
At the same time, I do use AI.
For these posts, I use it to help clarify and refine my writing—mainly for grammar and focus. I can ramble and get off track sometimes.
But for the most part—you’re getting me.
I will say this: when my daughter was in the hospital, I used AI to help track blood tests, analyze trends, and honestly… keep me sane.
The doctors were helpful when I saw them. But those other 23 hours—sitting there, worrying—I needed more information.
So now I’m curious— Are you using AI in your celiac world?
Are you scanning barcodes?
Tracking symptoms?
Analyzing lab results?
Or not using it at all?
(Side note: I’m working on a symptom tracker as a free download—if you want it, put TRACKER in the comments and I’ll DM you the link. Note, it make take some time – I’m not online all the time.)
Would love to hear how you’re using AI and how it is working for you.
