Why get diagnosed?

Because celiac disease doesn’t just affect your health.

Sometimes…

It affects your job.
Your school.
Your travel.
Your training.
Your housing.
Your access to safe food.
Your legal protections.

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease.

And in the United States…

Celiac disease is protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Diagnosis matters.
Documentation matters.
Protections matter.

Because sometimes…

“I know I have celiac” isn’t enough.

Sometimes…

You need it in writing.

Important note: ADA protections are specific to the situation, the setting, and the requested accommodation. Knowing your diagnosis—and knowing your rights—matters.

Have you ever needed your celiac diagnosis for work, school, travel, housing, or another accommodation?
