Probably the hardest of all road trips to plan, the Fly and Drive…..it combines all of the aspects of the Wanderer trip without the ability to prepare in your own kitchen. This is where you are depending on a lot of pre-packaged meals and definitely need access to a kitchen for at least a night or two.

A run to the grocery store a couple of times during this trip is going to be required. This is where creativity comes into play combining pre-packaged foods with fresh ones to make delicious and nutritious melas that will fill up the team.

Convenience foods, like frozen brown rice, shredded rotisserie chicken, tortilla chips, black beans, corn, tomatoes, and some Chick-Fil-A southwest dressing makes a great rice bowl. Heat it all in the hotel lobby microwave and you have a great meal.

Baked potatoes from Wendy’s, onion, Aidelle’s chicken and apple sausage, and eggs can create a great hash. Cut the baked potato up, cook in some butter, that you got from Wendy’s. Buy pre-chopped onion and a couple of eggs. Cook the potato, sausage, and onion in butter and once crispy, slide a fried egg on top. As a replacement for chicken and apple sausage, you could cook bacon, save the grease, and then cook everything in bacon grease.

Just an idea or two to help you with your road trip.

Also, any of the ideas from the Wanderer or the Destination road trip suggestions will work as well.

I’m sort of tapped out on road trip ideas. Let me know if this helped or if you have some to add for yourself.
