Menu Week of 3/11/19

So, I know lots of people struggle with meal planning. This is what we are having at our house this week. This is pretty easy and we will be right at $100 for the week. I splurged a bit on the flank steak, but saved a lot on the grilled cheese night.

Monday – I was not home, so the family ate out.

Tuesday – Marinated flank steak, asparagus, and baked potatoes. I’ve been itching for some red meat and this will solve that. The marinade I use is – 1/4 c soy sauce, 1/4 c olive oil, and 2 chopped garlic cloves. The longer you marinate the steak the better, up to 24 hours. I grill the flank steak and asparagus. Baked potatoes in microwave.

Wednesday – Tomato soup and grilled cheese. Now to be honest, my gluten eaters will be eating gluten filled bread. But I’ll make my GF grilled cheese first in a different pan. The trick to good grilled cheese is two slices of American cheese and lots of butter. Some say mayo, but I’m a butter gal!! Here’s the recipe for the crock pot tomato soup. Obviously, I won’t be doing the croutons!

Thursday – Chicken lettuce wraps! I’m doubling this one because my family loves it! Here’s the recipe.

Friday – Pizza. It is a done deal at my house. We have pizza every Friday.

Saturday – I don’t cook this night.

Sunday – Husband is doing BBQ’ing. I’m feeling like ribs!
