Feeling poorly

Sometimes I feel poorly. Monday was the perfect example. Nausea, fatigue, some gastrointestinal distress (but not major), and just an in general not feeling well. But the issue is, I didn’t eat out nor did I eat any heavily processed gluten free foods for the four days prior.

Why to participate in celiac disease clinical trials?

here are a variety of clinical trials out there for those with celiac disease. Some are observational – where you just report to the researchers what you ate or how you felt. Some are investigational – where they are testing a new drug or treatment for celiac disease. Some require gluten ingestion, some don’t.

Survey about food during the pandemic

Doing research for articles today, I came across a survey regarding food during the Covid-19 pandemic and food insecurity. Not much research has been done regarding those with celiac disease and food insecurity. Even less has been done regarding those with celiac disease food insecurity during a pandemic!

Still sick, even with gluten free diet? Duh!

Another study came out saying that the gluten free diet is insufficient for the adequate treatment of celiac disease. Even those with well controlled symptoms may still have a low grade inflammatory fire burning in your guts. Let’s discuss.
